This summer Coopacsol contributed RD$40,000 to the Bayahibe summer camp to buy backpacks and supplies for the children and to support the community.
On 1 August we joined the camp's closing day and spent it with the children and their families.
Why we do it
A cooperative belongs to its members, and its members live in a community. Concern for the community is one of the principles of the cooperative movement: what is built here stays here.
Bayahibe is our home, and starting the school year with a new backpack is a small gesture that makes a difference.
Thank you
Thanks to the organisers, the camp leaders and the families who make the camp possible.
