COOPACSOL - Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito

Cooperativism

What does it mean to be part of a cooperative?

A cooperative is owned by its members, not by shareholders. Profits are reinvested in benefits for members and the community. Decisions are democratic: your voice counts the same as any other member's.

What is IDECOOP

The Institute for Cooperative Development and Credit is the Dominican state body that regulates, supervises and promotes cooperativism. It ensures all cooperatives operate with transparency, solvency and responsibility towards their members. The Dominican Republic has more than 800 registered cooperatives.
